The Scottsdale Center for the Arts presents more than 1,000 events and education programs each year, including performances in dance, world music, jazz, classical music and theater. Performances take place in the 838-seat Virginia G. Piper Theater or the 137-seat Stage 2 Theater. The Scottsdale Cultural Council, a private, non-profit 501 (c) (3) management organization, administers the arts and cultural affairs of the City of Scottsdale, Arizona, and manages the Scottsdale Center for the Arts, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Scottsdale Public Art Program. The programs of the Scottsdale Cultural Council are made possible, in part, by grants received from the Arizona Commission on the Arts through appropriations from the Arizona State Legislature and our Members and Donors.
